Dothan, Ala. (WDHN)-- The city of Dothan named in a controversial interview by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

Amid intense stories of National Guard Deployments in cities across the county.

Miller said, "If tomorrow, we went to say, Dothan, Alabama, and there was a federal building there, and we put 100 police officers in front, nobody would throw rocks. Nobody would try to shoot them. And we would do anything. They would say hello, good morning. Maybe they get them a cup of coffee, but they go for the shift for the day. That doesn't how your kids doing, how are your kids doing?"

But Karie Fugett, Volunteer of 50501 Movement and a local who helps organize the "No Kings" protest is pushing back on his comments.
