PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As Halloween approaches, local businesses in Phoenix are dealing with more than just the usual seasonal rush.
Rising costs from newly enforced tariffs are creating challenges for store owners and shoppers alike, and some say the scariest thing this season isn’t in the costume aisle, but on the price tag.
Jeremy Veal, owner of Evil Izzy’s Haunted Emporium in Phoenix , says this year has brought financial uncertainty for his store.
“It’s scary. It really is,” Veal said. “You know, it’s one of those things where the future is a little bit uncertain as far as what it’s going to look like next year.”
