GRAND BLANC, MI – Bishop Jeffrey Schaub, faith leader of The Grand Blanc Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said his church community has had an overwhelming feeling of family in the days since the Sept. 28 mass killing.
“We can be healed. We will have joy,” Schaub said to conclude his speech at Grand Blanc’s Better Together Community Reflection event on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Don Batchelor Field.
The event was organized to remember the four victims who lost their lives and the numerous others injured in the shooting and fire at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints off McCandlish Road in Grand Blanc Township.
Four victims died and eight others suffered injuries. Victims’ ages ranged from six to 78 years old .
