WILLIAMSPORT — A Clinton County man, a federal prosecutor says, turned to child pornography after breaking up with his girlfriend is facing at least five years in prison, but more likely double that.
Michael Adam Meyer, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. Middle District Court to a charge of receipt of child pornography.
The charge carries a five-year mandatory minimum prison sentence, but the prosecuting and defense attorneys said a term in the 10-year range is more likely.
Found in a Jan. 6, 2025, search of Meyer’s residence in Loganton were 1,550 images and 1,582 videos of child pornography, Assistant U.S. Attorney Robyn E. Zenzinger said.
