TEMPLE, Texas — One person has been injured after a crash involving an 18-wheeler in Temple.
According to the Temple Police Department, officers were called to mile marker 303 on Interstate 35 around 7:51 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 7.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found that an 18-wheeler had struck a concrete wall and jack-knifed, which resulted in it partially hanging over a bridge railing.
Grones Environmental Services has reportedly been requested to the scene of the crash for gas and oil that spilled over the highway. TxDOT has also reportedly been requested to assist.
Southbound traffic in the area is currently being diverted to the loop, according to police. Temple Police said officers are currently working to reopen one lane of traffic.
