AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - It’s been 50 years since the Augusta Mini Theatre first opened its doors to the community.
To celebrate, the non-profit is hosting a special birthday drive-thru event, but the milestone is also about looking ahead to the future.
With a brand-new year comes new growth. Founder Tyrone Butler gave us a tour of the theatre’s future home.
“We had no idea when I started in 1975 to build anything. It’s almost like God is speaking and saying, ‘This is what you’re going to do,’” Butler said.
