HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - No injuries were reported after a fire in Hartford.
Officials say that it happened in the area of Ward Street at around 7:21 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a basement fire that had extended to the first floor. There was heat and smoke damage to the first and second floors.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
No injuries were reported. A cat had to be given oxygen by firefighters.
The Red Cross is working with the fire department to assist the four adults and one child that were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
