SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Santa Rosa County Animal Services is holding Community Cat Day for residents.

According to a Santa Rosa County release, the event is set for Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Tiger Point Community Center, located at 1370 Tiger Park Lane. Free spay/neuter services are available for up to 30 stray or feral cats.

Residents who wish to bring up to three community cats must provide proof of Santa Rosa County residency.

The cats will be "spayed or neutered, given a rabies vaccine, and receive an ear tip to show the cat has been fixed," the release said.

Those participating should drop off cats in individual humane traps at the community center at 8 a.m. and be picked up on Friday, Oct. 17, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
