KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation is warning drivers of rolling roadblocks on Alcoa Highway through Friday.
According to a statement from TDOT, the rolling roadblocks will be between Woodson Drive and Cherokee Trail. The roadblocks will last about 20 minutes and will be spaced out to allow traffic to return to normal between operations. The roadblocks will be in effect between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The roadblocks will allow crews to safely move equipment, perform rock excavation and clearing.
During the same time period, flagging operations will be underway on the ramp from northbound Alcoa Highway at the traffic signal at Cherokee Trail and along Cherokee Trail between the Alcoa Highway interchange and Medical Center Way. This will also take place between 9 a.m.
