Born in Huddersfield in 1974, Amanda started working as a contract shepherdess in her early twenties. In 1996 she met her husband Clive, four years before they took ownership of their farm Ravenseat, in the Yorkshire Dales. The couple, who separated in 2022, still run the farm together. Appearances on ITV’s The Dales in 2011, then New Lives in the Wild with Ben Fogle in 2015 eventually led to Amanda and her family getting their own observational show, Our Yorkshire Farm , on Channel 5 in 2018. She shares nine children with Clive; Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie and Nancy.
