A third man has now been charged over the alleged murder of Andrew Burow, as police continue to investigate what they say was a violent and calculated crime .
Remains of the 56-year-old Brisbane father were found in remote bushland weeks after his sudden disappearance, which police allege involved days of torture before his body was dumped and set alight.
Detectives on Tuesday charged a 57-year-old man from Buderim with murder, kidnapping, extortion and misconduct with a corpse.
Two other men — 26-year-old Billy John Howard and 38-year-old Anthony Thomas Perrett — have already previously been charged over Burow’s alleged torture.
Their charges have now been upgraded to include murder .
