LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Warmth and humidity continue to be the name of the game as we move over the next 24 hours, before changes arrive to end the week.

A mix of sun and clouds can be expected as we move through our Wednesday, with clouds winning out more so at times.

Even so, temperatures remain warm and above average as we head back into the upper 80s to near 90 once again.

Rain chances look to remain minimal as well with only a stray shower or downpour along the immediate coastline through the afternoon and evening.

Our weak cold front is on the way though! We’ll slowly begin to see those changes as early as Friday morning with cooler temperatures.

Lows will dip back into the lower and middle 60s, and coupled with a light breeze you may need a light jacket to start the day.
