(WENY) -- Governor Kathy Hochul has extended Executive Order 52, allowing pharmacists across New York State to continue administering COVID-19 vaccines.

The order will remain in place for at least another 30 days, ensuring that New Yorkers can continue to access the updated COVID vaccine through pharmacies.

The extension comes as part of the state’s effort to maintain widespread vaccine access, particularly for children and families. Governor Hochul also called on the federal government to make COVID-19 vaccines available through the national Vaccines for Children program.
