Rayavaram: At least six people were burnt alive and eight others were injured, when an explosion occurred at a fireworks manufacturing facility near Rayavaram, Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Two of the seriously injured were taken to Anaparthi Hospital for treatment while the rest were taken to private hospitals.

The wall of the shed of the fireworks manufacturing center reportedly collapsed due to the massive explosion. It is reported that some others may be under the rubble. The death toll is likely to rise. Firefighters have reached the scene and rescue operations are underway.
