The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked the actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra to deposit Rs 60 crore if they wanted their plea to go abroad to be considered by the court.
Notably, a case had been registered against Shetty and her husband at Juhu police station in Mumbai on August 14 for allegedly duping a businessman Deepak Kothari (60) of about Rs 60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal.
The HC’s ruling comes in the context of the petition the couple had filed last month seeking suspension of the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them by police in connection with the cheating case so that they could travel abroad on leisure trips or for their professional commitments.
