FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - have now been issued for Thursday and Friday mornings due to frost and freeze conditions. These cold mornings will harm, if not kill, most crops in the area. This will mark the end of the growing season in many communities.
Clear skies the next few nights will allow temperatures to rapidly cool off, falling into the 30s across 21Country leading into sunrise. Expect patchy frost to form on Thursday morning, and a widespread frost and localized freeze by Friday morning. Friday’s morning start looks to be even colder in comparison to Thursday (but just by a few degrees).
If you’re trying to prolong the life of any of your porch plants, make sure to water them a bit extra and cover them with a cloth to minimize damage.
