SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Flapjacks were hot on the griddle Wednesday morning at the Tyson Event Center.
City employees lined up bright and early for pancakes as part of a city employee appreciation breakfast.
For more than thirty years, the city council has put on this event for the people who dedicate their days to keeping Sioux City an inviting place to call home.
Mayor Pro Tem Dan Moore told KTIV it’s an important tradition to uphold.
“They are the backbone of why this city operates and runs as successfully as it does,” said councilmember Dan Moore. “And they should be honored, and they should be celebrated, and we should let them know that how much we do appreciate them, and that’s why this is called an appreciation breakfast.”
