Hot tub where Canadian woman was murdered in Scotland 'full of blood'

Aren Pearson admitted to a 911 operator that he had butchered his Canadian girlfriend, Claire Levesque, by stabbing her “about 40 times” in a hot tub.

Pearson, 41, is now on trial in Edinburgh, Scotland, for the February 11, 2024, slaying of Levesque, 24, from Edmonton, at his mother’s home on the remote Shetland Islands.

Tuesday was the first day of testimony, and prosecutors played the emergency call.

On the call, Pearson admits he stabbed Levesque in the heart, stomach, face and neck, telling the operator that his girlfriend was “definitely dead”, BBC News reports.
