SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A specialty hospital in KELOLAND is closing.

A spokesperson for Select Specialty Hospital says it is winding down operations.

The hospital is located inside Sanford Hospital.

Select Medical says Sanford needs to use the space as the demand for acute care grows.

A statement from Sanford says the health system is working on plans to re-purpose the space for inpatient growth and expansion.

According to documents obtained by KELOLAND News, the closure impacts roughly 90 employees.
