A Sterling Heights man is facing criminal charges in Oakland County for alleged human trafficking.
Jacob Michael Nelson, 39, is charged with conducting a human trafficking enterprise, accepting earnings from prostitution, and transporting a person for purposes of prostitution. Arraignment is pending in Troy’s 52-4 District Court.
The prostitution-related charges Nelson faces each carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison. Conducting a human trafficking enterprise is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
