Southgate police are investigating after a live round was found in a high school's room on Wednesday, officials said.
Authorities said they were called at about 6:40 a.m. to Anderson High School by the staff for a report that students had found a 9mm bullet.
They reported to the police that the round was found in the school's ROTC room, and the students turned it into administrators, investigators said.
Southgate police searched the school for munitions with help from nearby law enforcement agencies and canine units, they said.
Investigators said no threat was received by any staff, student, or through the police department.
Southgate Community Schools officials were not immediately available for comment on Wednesday.
Wednesday's incident is not the first time a bullet has been found
