Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation

PROVIDENCE – Gardeners beware: A freeze watch will go into effect Thursday night, Oct. 9, until Friday morning, Oct. 10, according to the National Weather Service.

That's right. Three days after the temperature reached 81 degrees in Providence, the low temperature could fall to 29 degrees in some parts of Southern New England. Lows in the 30s are expected overnight in most parts of Rhode Island.
