SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Symphony Hall provided an update Wednesday on what’s going on at the Springfield entertainment venue and what’s on tap for its future.

Representatives from the hall, along with Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, shared details on the wide range of performances, programs, and community events coming to the hall and he also announced funding for upgrades. “This will be due for technical enhancements, this quarter of a million dollars,” he explained. “We’re going to continue to enhance and improve this historic and majestic Symphony Hall.”

The hall’s venue and events director went on to say that the upgrades will include the production system curtains, which she said are very important improvements.
