Bringing a "first class, state-of-the-art" WNBA practice complex and youth athletic facilities to the former Uniroyal Tire Co. site in east Detroit will involve shipping contaminated soil to a landfill and adding a foot and a half a of clean soil so that kids aren't harmed, officials with the project said.
