BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Fire Department put out a fire Wednesday afternoon that has temporarily displaced residents at Cedarwood Apartments.
Crews were called to the complex on Ohio Street for a reported building fire around 2 p.m., according to Bangor fire. First responders said they saw smoke upon arrival.
First responders reportedly discovered the fire in three apartments of the 24-unit building, Bangor fire said. Six apartments experienced water damage as crews put out the fire.
Crews also rescued a few pets and were able to salvage many of the belonging by covering them with tarps.
The department said the fire was knocked down and under control in about 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries.
