MONTAGUE — All season long, the Ludington girls varsity volleyball team has been a problem for teams in the West Michigan Conference-Lakes Division.
As a result, the Orioles held a perfect conference record on Tuesday as they made the trip to Montague.
Although the pressure was on, Ludington didn’t miss a beat and toppled the Wildcats, 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-23, 25-19) in Montague.
“Despite some adversity in each of the first three sets, the Orioles dug deep, battled their way back, and ended up pulling away,” Orioles head coach Alex Hoffman said.
The Orioles are now 19-13-3 overall and 5-0 in WMC action.
Maddie Lynn led the way for Ludington on both sides of the ball. She tallied a team-high seven blocks while also adding eight kills.
Senior Jaelyn Laird also dominated at the net. Sh
