LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A Laredo school district is facing an investigation by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

This follows the agency’s announcement that it will investigate complaints about social media posts made by school employees regarding the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk .

A week after Kirk’s assassination, the TEA began investigating teachers and staff who were accused of posting or sharing what they described as “reprehensible and inappropriate” social media content related to the incident.

Then, on Friday, October 3, a news outlet in San Antonio received a list of school districts under investigation , which included United ISD in Laredo.
