SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - An organization based out of Baton Rouge is looking to support young people in the Shreveport-Bossier area and positively impact their lives through the presence of supportive fathers.

The group, Fathers on a Mission (FOAM) , is “dedicated to equipping fathers and father figures with the tools they need to be present, engaged, and empowered in their children’s lives.” The group says strong families and fathers can help build stronger communities.

FOAM is working in close partnership with Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ) and its Family Resource Center . The two groups are calling on the community to support their mission. FOAM is hoping to open an office in Caddo Parish soon.
