CCS parents raise concerns over bringing SROs back

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Back in March, the Charlottesville City School Board voted to bring back school resource officers starting in August of 2026.

This vote followed Albemarle County Public Schools and other surrounding school systems reimplementing resource officers back in the fall of 2023. One CCS parent says SROs are not a one-size-fits-all solution.
