1CONCORD, NH – A 73-year-old man has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder following the discovery of two women shot to death inside a Bath home, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella and the New Hampshire State Police .

Police responded around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to a 911 call reporting gunfire at 11 Tyler Way in Bath.

When officers from the Bath Police Department arrived, they found 67-year-old Cindy Moody and her 39-year-old daughter, Kristal Moody, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

At the scene, officers located Cindy Moody’s brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Readey, who was armed with a firearm but was safely taken into custody after a brief encounter.
