You can’t miss her coming, and that’s just the way she likes it. Her pink two-door, two-seat S-Cargo car emblazoned with the company logo and bearing the license plate “Dolly 1” turns plenty of heads on the road.

“Somehow I’ve become the Jam Lady,” laughs Katherine Little. With business visible and viable, she’s made a habit of turning life’s rough patches into something sweet.

CHEK viewers first met her in 2019 when the former law enforcement officer from Vancouver came home to Saanich after being injured in the line of duty. Looking for a new purpose, she started picking raspberries, and before long, she was making jam.

“I asked my husband to make me a stand,” she remembers. “And all of a sudden, I’m making jam.”
