A 14-year-old boy allegedly stole $21,000 worth of alcohol over a three-and-a-half-month period from various liquor outlets in Canberra.

Police arrested the teenager last week and charged him with multiple counts of theft.

According to ACT Policing, the boy allegedly stole from stores in Kaleen, Franklin, and South Canberra between May 24 and September 5 this year.

About 6.20 pm on October 2, 2025, police located him at a shopping centre in Tuggeranong, and he was subsequently arrested. He has been charged with 18 counts of minor theft and 18 counts of joint commission minor theft.

He faced an ACT Children's Court on Friday, October 3, and was remanded in custody. He will next appear in court on October 20, 2025, police said.
