A Bega resident has detailed the tense street altercation he stumbled upon just moments before a suspected murder took place in Bega.
The witness did not want to be identified, but has shared with ACM's Bega District News his account of Monday, October 6, about 1.47am.
"I was stumbling home from watching the grand final footy at my mate's place, and I popped out at the Glebe Park and a silver Commodore went screaming past me," the man said.
"I saw a guy running out of a building, and that car pulled up and stopped. That's when I knew something was going on.
"I pulled out my phone to record it, because I was like, 'What the f*** have I walked into?
"I kind of regret walking. I should have stayed for another beer."
