Salina, N.Y. — Five people and two dogs were displaced Wednesday night after their house caught on fire in Salina.
Around 8:39 p.m., firefighters went to 208 Breman Ave. for a fire that started in the fireplace area of the house, according to Mattydale Fire Chief Brian Falise.
When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen coming from part of the house. The left side suffered severe damage because it centered around the fireplace.
The fire also spread to the walls and ceiling, causing smoke and fire damage throughout most of the home. Firefighters put the fire out in around 20 minutes, Falise said.
In addition to the Mattydale Fire Department, Liverpool and Lyncourt departments were also there. A NAVAC ambulance was at the house, but there were no injuries to residents, pets or firefi
