BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man was sentenced Wednesday morning to 60 days in jail and six years of probation following his conviction for sexual misconduct.
Joseph M. Folvarcik, 49, He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release, according to the office of Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane.
The sentence includes sex offender conditions during probation. A final order of protection was also issued for the victim and will remain in effect until 2031.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on the evening of Jan. 21, 2024, when Folvarcik — working as an independent livery driver — transported a passenger from a bar in Orchard Park to their home in Buffalo. Prosecutors said Folvarcik, who was not known to the victim, engaged in sexual intercourse
