Convicted killer Roy Lee Ward is scheduled to be executed tomorrow morning.
Ward was given the death penalty for the rape and murder of 15-year-old Stacy Payne of Jasper in 2001.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun says he will not intervene in the execution.
As a result, Ward has dropped two federal lawsuits that could have delayed the execution.
His only hope of avoiding the lethal injection now is a stay of execution by the U.S. Supreme Court, but that appears unlikely.
The execution will take place between midnight and sunrise tomorrow morning.
