WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Watertown police are looking for the owner of the rain boots worn by a burglary and homicide suspect.

Police said that, as they continue to search for evidence and discarded items, they are also investigating a pair of boots the suspect was wearing during his arrest that may have been taken from a residence in the area.

On Tuesday, police responded to the area of Winnemaug Road and Sperry Road for a reported burglary. Javian Adams, 25, of Waterbury, was arrested near the Lake Winnemaug Boat Launch. Due to his suspected connection to Monday's double homicide in Waterbury, police asked residents to be on the lookout for things he abandoned, including a bookbag, a white Ford Escape and sneakers.
