MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Department of Justice released its latest numbers for the Memphis Safe Task Force.

Attorney General Pam Bondi posted on X Thursday morning, they’ve made 562 arrests so far and have seized 381 illegal guns.

The task force began on September 29.

Action News 5 asked the Department of Justice for a breakdown of the 562 arrests, the DOJ says they do not have a breakdown.

Memphis Mayor Paul Young and Police Chief CJ Davis answered questions Wednesday night about the Memphis Safe Task Force and the pending deployment of the Tennessee National Guard.
