Start spreading the news: The Blue Jays are championship series bound for the first time since 2016 .

It took practically every bullpen arm the Jays had , but they beat the Yankees 5-2 Wednesday night to eliminate their division rivals and secure a spot in baseball’s final four. And Toronto did it in the House That Ruth Built, silencing the Bleacher Creatures and everyone else looking on in New York.

Some in New York are taking it well. Others claim the Jays “were not that good.” Here’s what the U.S. media, former players and other personalities are saying after Toronto’s big win.
