The wildfire ongoing at the George H. Crosby Manitou State Park grew from 30 to 50 acres overnight, and it is currently considered 0% contained.

The Minnesota Incident Command System provided an update Thursday morning after the fire broke out on Tuesday, saying there was "minimal" fire activity observed overnight as temperatures cooled.

Aircraft have been scrambled to the North Shore state park, dropping water to slow down active flames.

But the remoteness of the fire has made it difficult for ground crews to reach it.

"The fire is primarily located in a remote ridge area of the George H. Crosby Manitou State Park, and the steep terrain is making access into the fire area more difficult for firefighters," MNICS says.
