NEWBURGH – Mount Saint Mary College men’s soccer coach Kevin Longacre’s Kia Telluride was filled over the weekend.
However, his cargo didn’t include soccer equipment or players. It was packed with more than 100 food items and other necessities to donate to Fareground, a Hudson Valley non-profit that helps those in need.
The drive was held on Saturday during The Mount’s alumni game and a match against SUNY Purchase College.
“My wife and I have worked with Fareground before, and I felt like this would be a perfect opportunity for the soccer program to give back,” said Longacre. “We were thrilled by the response.”
