NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Arrests have been made in the case of a Central Business District. homicide.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, around 7:42 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, officers were called by Tulane Police on a report of a man down near the corner of Gravier Street and Loyola Avenue.

Officers and EMS arrived to the scene and pronounced the person dead on the scene.

An investigation revealed the victim was allegedly involved in a fight with several individuals before being seen on the ground. The incident was initially classified as an unclassified death but at 12:30 p.m., reclassified as a homicide.
