Freeze warnings and frost advisories have been issued for seven northern New Jersey counties where overnight low temperatures are expected in the 20s and low 30s.
The National Weather Service’s freeze warnings apply to Sussex, Warren and western Passaic counties.
“Sub-freezing temperatures as low as the upper 20s to low 30s expected,” the weather service said. “Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.”
The frost advisories include Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Morris, Ocean, Somerset, eastern Passaic and western Bergen counties, where overnight temperatures could drop into the low 30s.
