KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Two Tennessee cities rank first and second in a study seeking to determine the most dangerous places to drive in the nation, and a city in Missouri placed inside the top ten.
The study, conducted by ConsumerAffairs using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, ranked Memphis and Knoxville as the first- and second-most dangerous cities in terms of fatal car accidents. Rounding out the top five are Waterbury, Connecticut; Aurora, Colorado; and Tucson, Arizona, according to ConsumerAffairs’ findings.
Right behind those cities in the ConsumerAffairs study is Kansas City, Missouri, as the sixth-most dangerous city for drivers. Springfield, Missouri, also ranked pretty high in the study, ranking 37th out of 327 cities, just behind St. Louis, Miss
