STOCKTON, Mo. - A vigil for Charlie Kirk has been rescheduled in Stockton after the initial vigil was postponed when someone made a shooting threat.

The vigil will now be held at the Assembly of God church at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

The original vigil, which was held in September, began with dozens of people gathering at the local park. However, rain quickly put a pause on the celebration of life.

It was during this rain delay that officials received word of a shooting threat made online. The police chief and mayor thought it would be best to cancel the vigil until further notice.

Residents expressed their disappointment that someone in their community would make a serious threat to their neighbors.
