MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - The former Bell Elementary school building in Minot will go up for sale.

The Minot Public School board voted this week to sell the building.

The building has sat vacant since last May after the district voted to close Bell and McKinley schools in early 2024.

Board member Scott Louser said they’ve been considering a sale since getting the property appraised roughly a year ago.

He added there’s been growing public interest in the property.

“I’m pretty certain because of the public interest, we’re going to have a very public, very open process for anybody that wants to submit an offer,” said Louser.

Next week, the school board will decide what kind of sale they will conduct with the Bell property.
