BATAVIA — As of Wednesday, 10 candidates confirmed they will attend a Meet the Candidates Day on Oct. 21 at Independent Living of the Genesee Region.

Independent Living, a member of the WNY Independent Living Inc. Family of Agencies, invites residents to the forum, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its offices, 319 W. Main Street.

The forum connects voters with local candidates for public office to hear perspectives, ask questions and engage in dialogue about issues that matter to the disability community and the region at large.

Confirmed participating candidates, as of Wednesday, were: Helen Hanes, Pembroke Town Council; Cathy Worthington, Stafford Town Council; Eugene Jankowski, Jr., Nicholas Lord and Richard Richmond, all for Batavia City Council; Bob Bialkowski, Genesee County Leg
