CAMDEN – The state's top environmental regulator will visit Camden and Newark this month to share information and discuss community concerns over scrap metal yards operating in their cities.
The Camden “Scrap 101" informational session will be held on October 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1865 Harrison Avenue. The Newark session will be held on October 23 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Newark Tech-Essex County Vocational Technical School, 91 West Market Street.

Shawn LaTourette, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection commissioner, and Kandyce Perry, director of the DEP Office of Environmental Justice, are scheduled to attend each meeting. Staff members from the DEP will also attend.
