Mail theft incident in Woodland affects 135 voters in Yolo County

(FOX40.COM) -- The Yolo County Elections Office was notified by the United States Postal Service of a mail theft incident affecting several Cluster Box Units in Woodland. Video above: Deputies provide law enforcement services to Iselton until June 2029

On Thursday, the YCEO explained that four CBUs covering 61 addresses were broken into, impacting 135 registered voters who receive mail.

Locations affected: • 800–1120 Shiloh Ct • 237–268 Pearl Ct/Way • 236–261 Carlsbad Pl • 300–341 Pinnacles Dr

Stolen mail was later recovered after it had been sorted through and exposed to water, USPS said. Recovered mail included election-related materials and general correspondence.
