Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) — Curly's Chicken House will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Oct. 26 and will feature homemade, original items.
Curly's is a family-owned restaurant that opened in 1955. The menu has homemade rotisserie chicken, cole slaw, and desserts.
The current owners, Kristie and Paul Merstock, expressed their gratitude to the community.
"This area means so much to this business," said Kristie. "We have a lot of loyal customers through the hard times, and through COVID. We appreciate it so much."
Customers say they love the food and the service. But they say the main reason they keep coming back is because of family traditions that go back for generations.
